Judo Education was started over 10 years ago by Carl Finney with the primary aim of increasing young peoples participation in the Olympic Sport of Judo.
That aim is still very important to Judo Education but it has become much more than this along the way. We have realised that judo can give so much more to children than just belts and medals. It can be a way of improving their day to day life and help them lead it in a more discipline and respectful manner.
One of the leading European Judo Federations moral code sums up exactly what judo can do for children and it is politeness, courage, sincerity, self control, honor, modesty, friendship and respect.
